Am I a Writer?

Recently, I submitted a short story that I have been working on for several years to a publisher. I had not heard a word and was discouraged, although I remained certain that my work had merit. Today, this evening, I heard back from the publisher and they would like to see more! They want me to turn my short story (which certainly isn't short, for those of you who know my writing) into a novel for a potential series. They are willing to advance me several months' salary so that I can take a break from my job and focus, solely, on writing. I just got off the phone from speaking with my manager at work, and he is super excited for me. He says that there will always be a job at Bradley for me and that I should take this three-month time period to see what happens. Of course, he just wants to see what happens to the characters in my story!
I am so very excited and so proud of myself for putting it out there and following a life-long dream.

So happy for you ! Miss you we so need to catch up. Cn you believe Ty is going to be ten in a couple of days lol You will have to let me know when its published. I need books to read while im recovering from surgery.
